Appleton Roebuck Tennis Club was formed in 1979 and has a thriving membership of over 120 members. Membership is open to all without discrimination.
Tournaments are held throughout the season and are intended to be fun days to involve the whole range of abilities within the club.
Social events, which are also open to non-members, are held throughout the year and have included quiz nights, treasure hunts, barbeques and wine tastings. The annual presentation dinner is held in November.

It is required that all players wear appropriate tennis clothing and footwear with non-marking soles.
Members are responsible for collecting visitor's fees from each of their guests for each playing session and handing it to the Treasurer. Adult fee £2.00. Junior fee £1.00. Maximum number of guests is limited to three per member, per session.
Potential members are allowed to play at the Club up to a maximum of 3 times during a season, and after that, must apply for Membership.
